The Meranti body has similar tonal characteristics to Mahogany with a strong mid-midrange that will cut through the mix with authority for rhythm while providing sweet highs for singing leads.

The new VTB-H humbucker pickup features Alnico V magnets for a smooth but musical sound with a powerful yet articulate punch in the low-midrange and bass registers.

The specially wired 5-way switch offers each pickup on its own or both as well as two parallel modes with of the two inside coils or the two outside coils for a variety of great usable sounds. The ability to switch between active and passive modes and the passive tone knob further expands the tonal palette for the utmost in versatility.

The Canadian hard Maple neck provides power and stability as well as contributing a warm, beefy and punchy tone with a strong upper midrange. Dense and rigid yet with just the right amount of tactile flexibility, it responds sensitively to your picking attack and slapping techniques with plenty of articulation and power.

Jatoba is a very dense and stiff wood that makes it ideal for the fingerboard usage. Jatoba produces strong fundamentals and volume projection with an emphasis on the high-mids.

Both comfort and appearance was enhanced with an elegantly contoured arm cut on the top. This modification to the top has been carefully laid out on the bodies of the Action Basses for maximum comfort without removing unnecessary amounts of wood.
