Full Description
With vintage style and a sunburst finish, the Danelectro '58 Longhorn Bass reissue reamains as true to tone as ever. Taking the original bodyshape that we first saw in the 50's, this bass is as eyecatching as ever with cold bottle headstock shape and chrome and cream hardware. Adding to the Danelectro retro, left-field vibe are the Longhorn's enclosed 'Kluson'-style tuners and perspex pickguard.
The twin alnico-powered Lipstick case pickups have warmer spec windings which offer sweeter tones and slightly hotter output, inspired by the Lipstick pickups first added to guitars by Danelectro founder Nathan Daniel in 1947. Pearloid dot inlays on the rosewood fingerboard compliment the hardware and simple volume and tone controls.
